Voting Sifting Water From Water

Sifting water from water. You heard me the first time. States like Texas and Georgia are hell bent on stealing the right to vote from qualified voters. They also want to discourage those that want to.

Their target are potential Democratic Party voters. That is where water comes in. How will Republicans sift voters? Do they patrol major city pavements and identify Americans that are likely to vote Democrat. That one is tall, he must vote Democrat. That one is wearing 10 bangles, definitely Democrat. Look at that one, with his expensive three piece suit and briefcase. Probably, a GQ magazine model. He definitely votes Democrat.

When former slave states like Georgia, make voter suppression laws to blunt what they think is the Democratic vote, does it occur to them that they could be stabbing themselves with their own spear, to quote a Zulu proverb? Take Fulton County for example. The Georgia State Election Board is concentrating on this county because it is perceived as Democratic Party territory. There are people who vote Republican in Fulton County. How does the Republican Party sift them from Democrat voters?

Does it ever occur to Republicans that voter suppression laws, coupled with trying to delay counting ballots after November 5, turns them against their own supporters? Georgia Republicans in the state House and Senate, do not have an ounce of common sense therefore, they forget that there are many people who say:

 ‘Hey, I vote Republican but wrong is wrong, I do not condone what Republicans are doing in my state, wanting to count ballots by hand, and trying to intimidate voters in Fulton County. For that reason, I’ll roll with Kamala Harris and the Coach.”

Don’t look at me. It’s common sense talking.

Comfort Food As Regret Food

Chicken curry. Comfort food is good for the soul, which usually bleeds in winter from icy roads, bad drivers that want to annihilate pedestrians, frozen fingers and toes that take a sabbatical.   What happened to my toes?   I thought I was wearing special socks for boots? No Air Miles

I don’t have Air Miles.   I’m considering putting that on a T-Shirt because I cannot go to the drugstore (chemist) or coffee shop without the cashier asking me if I have air miles. We waited for about two minutes the other day, while this guy looked for his Air Miles card in his overweight wallet.   For what?   For a few points. I don’t have air miles because Mathematics is a foreign language.   I was never good in numbers. That is why I squashed the idea of being an investment banker very early in life.   I understand you can invest in cornfields before the soil is turned up or pork bellies even before a baby pig is born. That is how I view air miles, investing in tomorrow or the unknown.   I’m the dumb one.   Some people understand this air miles’ thing so well, I overheard one customer saying: I can even convert my points into cash.
