Assist Parents With Early Voting

John Lewis, congressman from Georgia fought to protect voting rights, his whole life. He joined ancestors on 17 July, 2020.

“I couldn’t vote grand baby.”

“Grand daddy, you must be kidding?”

“Too old for kidding around baby.”

We might argue that slavery was a long time ago, there are no living grandfathers that could not vote. Wrong. We can see what former slave states like Alabama and Georgia are doing, trying to disenfranchise eligible voters. Some of them have reduced the number of ballot drop boxes. How diabolical can you be?

You need to make sure that your grandparents vote early. Anti-democracy elements are getting more desperate by the day. You never know what will happen on 5 November. Trump vigilantes might look at you and tell you illegal immigrants cannot vote. Not all Americans are born equal. Some are regarded as foreigners because of their beautiful skin and eyes.

In fact, your grandparents have stories to tell why their parents couldn’t vote. Help them with the early voting then take them out to lunch, place your orders then listen and ‘listen good’ as they say. You might have goose pimples on your arms when you hear that the U.S. Constitution is not automatic. The majority of Americans are automatically clothed with basic rights and freedoms, but just to exist, is a daily fight for the minority.
