Tina Peters sentenced to 9 years in prison for Donald Trump's lie. He, on the other hand, is terrified of being incarcerated, probably because there might be  'reception committees' waiting for him.

There is a book called A Tale of Two Cities. Here is a tale of two people who live in the same state Arizona, drink the same water City Hall provides and belong to the same party, the Republican Party.

They were of the same mind until hailstorm shattered their party’s windscreen: Donald Trump. He lost the 2020 presidential election, but spread the lie that it was stolen from him. He has spent the last four years, eroding the Party’s integrity. Members like John Giles do not want to be tainted with his persona.

The Mesa Mayor spoke at the 2024 DNC in Chicago. “I have a confession to make. I’m a lifelong Republican. So, I feel a little out of place tonight, but I feel more at home here than in today’s Republican Party. The Grand Old Party has been kidnapped by extremists and devolved into a cult, the cult of Donald Trump.”

But Tina Peters, who worked in the election office in Mesa County believes in the cult, and even compromised her job for Donald Trump. She switched off cameras in the room with voting machines and allowed a Trump follower to try and copy hard drives. The Secretary of State suspended her and took her to court.

12 August 2024 Verdict. A Colorado jury found Tina Peters, a former Mesa County Clerk, guilty of seven of 10 counts related to, a 2021 breach of the Mesa County election system.

3 October 2024. She was sentenced to 9 years in prison for believing Donald Trump’s lie and acting upon it. For the next six months, Tina Peters will be in the Mesa County Detention Facility, then transferred to the Colorado Department of Corrections to live there for nine years.

Forget democracy.   It should be called political bullying. Comfort Food As Regret Food

Chicken curry. Comfort food is good for the soul, which usually bleeds in winter from icy roads, bad drivers that want to annihilate pedestrians, frozen fingers and toes that take a sabbatical.   What happened to my toes?   I thought I was wearing special socks for boots? No Air Miles

I don’t have Air Miles.   I’m considering putting that on a T-Shirt because I cannot go to the drugstore (chemist) or coffee shop without the cashier asking me if I have air miles. We waited for about two minutes the other day, while this guy looked for his Air Miles card in his overweight wallet.   For what?   For a few points. I don’t have air miles because Mathematics is a foreign language.   I was never good in numbers. That is why I squashed the idea of being an investment banker very early in life.   I understand you can invest in cornfields before the soil is turned up or pork bellies even before a baby pig is born. That is how I view air miles, investing in tomorrow or the unknown.   I’m the dumb one.   Some people understand this air miles’ thing so well, I overheard one customer saying: I can even convert my points into cash.
