Donald Trump is a unique hostage-taker for many reasons. Firstly, the sheer numbers. More than 336 million people is a lot. Secondly, he is just one man whereas, hostage-takers are 6-10 max, depending on the number of hostages. Hostage-takers also represent an ideology, a religion, drug trafficking cartels or cultures that enslave women on the pretext of, ‘tradition.’

Donald Trump on the other hand, is holding 336+ million hostages based on a secret, more secretive than cults that demand members must kill parents. Donald Trump is a strange hostage-taker because he only represents numero uno, one person. No ideology. No religion. No cult. Just himself. Adolf Hitler, the most common terms of reference, was about the superiority of men and women with blue eyes and blond hair. He was about hatred for German Jews. Donald Trump on the other hand has no defining brick. It’s not being Republican either because very soon, he will change the name of the Republican Party.  

Maybe it’s not that ominous. The 336+ hostages in the country called the U.S. can loosen the ropes around their wrists. How? They can vote. If they don’t, they will be hostages for a long time and shunned by friends.

“America? It used to be a democracy. Now people are scared just like in North Korea.”

Comfort Food As Regret Food

Chicken curry. Comfort food is good for the soul, which usually bleeds in winter from icy roads, bad drivers that want to annihilate pedestrians, frozen fingers and toes that take a sabbatical.   What happened to my toes?   I thought I was wearing special socks for boots? Being a passenger is very stressful.   You must listen to the owner of the car, nod and grumble yes to everything he says because you don’t want to piss him off. Two things can happen if you disagree with the driver: he can lose concentration and you all end up in a mash-up accident or stop the car and ask you to get out.   That is the driver’s prerogative.   You must listen to me if you are a passenger in my car.   Let’s flip the script for a minute and sympathise with the driver if she has a passenger who is more intelligent than Albert Einstein. He talks non-stop.   It is all about himself, how right he is, how good he is, how stupid his boss is. Einstein is also a driving instructor.   “Careful.   Look at that guy.   Is he crazy or something? ” says Einstein.
