Pierre Poilievre Defiles Canadian Democracy
Donald Trump did not accept defeat so he claimed his election was stolen. Pierre Poilievre, Canada’s Conservative Party leader is making the same accusation. His goal is to be Canada’s Prime Minister prematurely, without waiting for the next federal election. How?
1. The Conservative Party is accusing China of interfering in Canada’s federal elections, the Party lost.
2. Pierre Poilievre demanded a public inquiry into the matter. Prime Minister Trudeau obliged and hired David Johnston as special rapporteur to investigate.
3. He did the job and tabled a report recommending there should be no public inquiry.
4. Pierre Poilievre and other opposition parties do not like Johnston’s findings. They voted in parliament that he should be removed. Very childish. The only recommendation they want is a public inquiry.
5. David Johnston finally succumbed to pressure and resigned on 9 June.
Pierre Poilievre’s and Trump’s Lies
It is despicable that Poilievre admires Donald Trump so much, he would emulate something that sullied America’s reputation as the bastion of democracy. Johnston has resigned, but his recommendations stand. Poilievre will reject them of course, because of his next course of action.
6. The only recommendation Poilievre will accept is that China interfered in the last election causing the Conservative Party to lose. Like Trump, the only true result is if he wins.
7. Poilievre will then use taxpayers’ money to conduct the public inquiry. He will accept only one outcome. Which is? China interfered in the last election causing his Party to lose.
8. The NDP and Bloc Quebecois will vote with him to nullify Trudeau’s emaciated win in the last election and force a new election.
9. Because he thinks he’s god, he will win that election.
Conclusion: Canadians do not want a public inquiry because there was no interference. Doing what Trump did to American voters, indirectly says Canadian voters are stupid, imbeciles to the core. They don’t know what they are doing when they are in that voting booth. Conservative Party voters should be concerned. Do they want a leader whose thinking is linear, for himself only, at the detriment of the party?
