NBA Stars Media Cracks

Milwaukee Bucks star, Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the players
that have walked out or boycotted post-game media briefings.

Obese contract basketball players who refuse to do the obligatory media briefing don’t mind the NBA fine. It’s parking change to them. There’s a pattern. They win, they do the media thing. They lose, they head for the locker room.

The NBA doesn’t like it obviously. That’s why there are fines. There’s no easy solution because players feel you cannot kick a man when he’s down. They just lost a game, the conference and the possibility of bling bling, those championship rings. A few minutes later, they must face the media with that strange question: How do you feel?

But, all other questions must be fielded. People in the business like Stephen A. maintain players must take both sunshine and clouds. They cannot expect the media to shine cameras at them when they are victorious and dim them when they lose. It’s a total package.

Sports reporters must do their job and most of them do their homework, to avoid bias accusations. Questions can be long with hidden masquerade questions. This irks some players. Others try to answer them. Example.

Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets were at it for Game 2 yesterday. Nikola Jokic was asked something. It’s reported he said, “To be honest, I don’t know the answer. I was just playing. I don’t think when I’m playing about stats or whatever.”

The media will continue to ask questions and players must answer them, the best way they can because fans bought the tickets, fans flew from one end of the U.S. to the other, so they need answers.
