Money Hijacked Time
Before coins with heads of British and Swedish royalty called money determined time, it was free. It was not called a.m. or p.m.
Time was not hard currency. It was named after activity that provided food for families e.g. when boys took cattle out for grazing, when the herd returned in the evening and milking.
Time was given names that monitor nature so that families could hunt, fish, gather berries or dig roots that could be boiled or roasted. Excess food was taken to the market to ‘buy’ what was excess from other members.
Because money enslaved time, the word market does not denote fruit and vegetables. It now means guess work at the stock exchange. Tokyo is ahead of Toronto by 13 hours, so that guess work takes place at different times.
Time is money is more of a stockbroker’s creed, than ordinary people. Every minute counts in the market controlled by Mr. Dow and Mr. Jones. A minute delay might lead to disaster, like the 1929 crash where some men committed suicide.
Because the euro, dollar, yen or yuan enslaved time, we don’t have time to fill holes in the ground we made to mine copper for pennies and cents, Canada and other countries have discontinued.
