We Are Offline!

You'll think somebody died. It's just Wi-Fi. It will come back after a few hours. Go out without an umbrella and let raindrops calm you down. There is absolutely no connection between Wi-Fi and the rain. One is man-made, the other is nature and humans need both.

Rain has more mileage than Wi-Fi because it has provided food for XXX number of lifetimes. No rain, no crops, no animals, no food in that order. How about green house tomatoes? That’s a blog for another day.

Then there is the question of ownership. Rain belongs to all. There are no Russian or U.S. flags on raindrops while Wi-Fi service providers have a country prefix, Canadian, Japanese or Irish.

Delivery is another big difference between Wi-Fi and the rain. Like the fridge, traffic lights and the computer, Wi-Fi needs electricity. Thunder on the other hand, is first generation electricity, which topples power lines when it is in a bad mood.

However, there is a connection between Wi-Fi and rain. Nuisance. Rain is a nuisance when we want to play outdoors: baseball, tennis, soccer jump rope or cricket. Weddings also have back-up strategies in case it rains.

Wi-Fi is a nuisance when it is no where to be found, as it happened in  Canada on 8 July ‘22 when the Rogers communication service went down.
