Son Convince Me
Son, convince me. It might sound like a teen trying to get the father to buy him a car to zip around college and impress girls. The father is willing but doesn’t understand why it has to be a new car.
He can’t tell him that back in the day, it was the other way round. Parents bought new cars and handed old ones to kids. His son doesn’t like ‘back in the day’ stories.
The son must do some research because if he doesn’t have his facts right, the father might even delete the idea of getting him any wheels, old or new. He might say the college is in a city with the best bus and train system in the world.
Son convince me, is a life skill because when he graduates from a teen to a full grown man, convincing someone or something will be his full time cross. Not getting that job is the result of not being able to convince employers that you are the right person for the job, although you have the required Electrical Engineering degree.
Inability to convince leads to suicide, divorce or lawsuits. Shouting is the result of not being able to convince someone, somewhere about something. It can lead to fist fights, or being shot, in a country like the U.S. where it’s easy to go shopping for a gun.
