Yves-Francois Blanchet Is A Disappointment

Blog Quebecois Party leader, Yves-Francois Blanchet is not a man of his word.

The ultimatum Yves-Francois Blanchet, leader of Bloc Quebecois gave the Liberal Party is disappointing. He gave Prime Minister Justin Trudeau a deadline, October 29 to implement his demand for Old Age Security top-up. Apparently, that was done in 2022.

Yves-Francois Blanchet said if the Liberal Party doesn’t deliver, he will team up with other parties against Trudeau and force an election. Once again, another leader is putting his needs first, not Canadians’ needs. Which are? Canadians don’t want a snap election. They don’t want elected leaders to act like spoilt brats and govern by threats.

I’m pointing out Bloc Quebecois because I thought Blanchet is one of the wise men in Ottawa. He is on record that he will not vote to get rid of Trudeau just to help Pierre Polievre become the next prime minister of Canada. That is why I’m disappointed that the same man, is saying he will persuade the NDP and Conservative Party to gang up against the Prime Minister, if his demands are not met come October 29.

Canadians do not want a snap election. They want leaders with negotiating skills and leaders that understand that life is about give and take. It is possible. Jagmeet Singh and Justin Trudeau are proof of that. They had an understanding that produced dental care for children and seniors. Singh broke it because of Trudeau’s handling of the rail strike, where he forced unions and employers to go for arbitration.

Canadians don’t want a snap election. Canada is respected globally because of stability. Don’t tamper with that. And never, never forget September 2021, where Justin Trudeau forced a snap election on Canadians. You know what happened. The souffle did not rise. It fell flat, no majority.
