Doug Emhoff Campaigns For Breakfast Partner

Scenario: Kamala Harris and husband Doug Emhoff are at the breakfast table, the sun eavesdropping through the shutters.

VP Kamala Harris: A penny for your thoughts darling.

Doug Emhoff: I’ll miss this, our breakfast nook, when we move to the White House.

VP Kamala Harris: Wow! Slow down. We’re not there yet. Remember we are the underdog in this election.

Doug Emhoff: I know darling so, back to work. You go to your next campaign stop. I’ll go to mine. Let’s do this.

VP Kamala Harris: That’s right, my breakfast partner for life.

First gentleman? That is what Doug Emhoff will be called, if his wife Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party presidential nominee wins the November 5 election. Emhoff is not folding his hands though, keeping his fingers crossed that his breakfast partner becomes the first woman to be the president of the U.S.A.

He is on the campaign trail in various states, spreading the Harris/Walz message of not going back. This week, Doug Emhoff was in San Antonio, Austin and Houston, cities in Texas, a Republican stronghold. Ron Nirenberg, the San Antonio mayor announced that Emhoff’s visit raised more than a million dollars for the Harris/Walz campaign. He raised the same amount in Austin Texas.

I guess couples that have breakfast together, also go to the office together and the office is wide and open and full of Americans that believe, they deserve better.

Comfort Food As Regret Food

Chicken curry. Comfort food is good for the soul, which usually bleeds in winter from icy roads, bad drivers that want to annihilate pedestrians, frozen fingers and toes that take a sabbatical.   What happened to my toes?   I thought I was wearing special socks for boots? Ah!  We only live once. No Air Miles

I don’t have Air Miles.   I’m considering putting that on a T-Shirt because I cannot go to the drugstore (chemist) or coffee shop without the cashier asking me if I have air miles. We waited for about two minutes the other day, while this guy looked for his Air Miles card in his overweight wallet.   For what?   For a few points. I don’t have air miles because Mathematics is a foreign language.   I was never good in numbers. That is why I squashed the idea of being an investment banker very early in life.   I understand you can invest in cornfields before the soil is turned up or pork bellies even before a baby pig is born. That is how I view air miles, investing in tomorrow or the unknown.   I’m the dumb one.   Some people understand this air miles’ thing so well, I overheard one customer saying: I can even convert my points into cash.
