Canada No-Confidence Vote
If you live in Canada, I don’t know which political party you voted for during the last general election however, political parties will vote for a crucial matter tomorrow, September 25.
What is it? The Conservative Party has tabled a motion of no confidence in Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government. Political parties will vote yes or no tomorrow. Should Trudeau remain or go? If they vote yes, he should go, there will be a snap election. Two men will be deemed wise after the vote:
1. Yves-Francois Blanchet, leader of Bloc Quebecois
2. Jagmeet Singh, the NDP leader.
Why do you say they are wise men? Because they said they will vote NO, to the Conservative Party’s attempt to remove Trudeau, and trigger an election. These two men are wise because they are on the same page with most Canadians. They don’t want an election, just because Pierre Poilievre, leader of the Conservative Party wants to be prime minister.
These have their reasons for not throwing Justin Trudeau under the bus. Canadians do not want a snap election because they don’t want to be treated like pawns in a political chess game. Yes, parliament tradition Canada inherited from England permits, these no-confidence votes but they are wrong. Political parties must learn to work together, and not throw out the baby with bath water. It can be done. Canadians today have free dental care because the Liberal Party worked with the NDP to make it happen. Men in parliament should grow up, and work jointly for Canadians, and not for their political agendas.
