The Colorado Buffaloes’ locker room seems to be a sight to behold. When Lil’Wayne, the rapper saw it for the first time, he said: Is this a locker room? It is. It looks like a sci-fi operations’ room, from photos I’ve seen.

Still, it’s magnificence could not inspire players to win. They reached a winning season way back in 2016. What does the Beatles’ song say? Can’t buy me love. Colorado University provided the money to vamp up the locker room, but players were not moved. Karl Dorrell, the  last coach before Deion Sanders probably tried, but met a brick wall. Players were not interested in excellence.

Money facilitates basic things like shelter, clothing, food and transport. Talking about transport, the only vehicle human beings need is a van or pick-up truck because it is functional. It carries humans and things we move around all the time. It’s not only for farmers. Remember the last time the family went away for a weekend? It was a struggle to load the few bags in the trunk/boot.

Money also facilitates comfort or luxury, to make things easier. That’s why we end up buying luxury sedans. The extra expense is a good investment in sports. Players should be as comfortable as possible, in order to excel. The Colorado University Athletics Department is not short of cash. That’s why it has facilities that look like a five star hotel. From what I learned from @thaddboii, my American football go-to on Tik Tok and YouTube, athletics departments also receive donations from former students, and most of them don’t work at the post office.

The Colorado Buffaloes’ locker room must have impressed Deion Sanders ‘Coach Prime.’ He enjoys giving visitors a tour. However, players that commit to Boulder Colorado do it for Deion Sanders the former NFL player, not facilities. Some of them come from better facilities than Colorado.

Comfort Food As Regret Food

Chicken curry. Comfort food is good for the soul, which usually bleeds in winter from icy roads, bad drivers that want to annihilate pedestrians, frozen fingers and toes that take a sabbatical.   What happened to my toes?   I thought I was wearing special socks for boots? Being a passenger is very stressful.   You must listen to the owner of the car, nod and grumble yes to everything he says because you don’t want to piss him off. Two things can happen if you disagree with the driver: he can lose concentration and you all end up in a mash-up accident or stop the car and ask you to get out.   That is the driver’s prerogative.   You must listen to me if you are a passenger in my car.   Let’s flip the script for a minute and sympathise with the driver if she has a passenger who is more intelligent than Albert Einstein. He talks non-stop.   It is all about himself, how right he is, how good he is, how stupid his boss is.
