Titanic Submersible African Billionaire Escaped
Does Ned Nwoko, the Nigerian Senator and husband to actress Regina Daniels have a will? It’s none of your business. Yes, you’re right. It’s not my business, but it is everybody’s business now, because of the Titanic submersible that disappeared in the bowels of the sea on June 18.
Hamish Harding, one of the passengers that died was his friend. While mourning him on social media, Ned Nwoko revealed that Harding invited him. “He also invited me on his space shuttle last year and this very Titan ill-fated adventure but I was tied down with national duties.”
Death leaves families devastated, but they tend to fight over money and other possessions once tears dry, which brings us to Ned Nwoko, a Nigerian billionaire. Does he have a will? He probably does. Why?
1. Ned Nwoko is a Muslim. He reportedly has six wives, who must be thankful that he didn’t accept the Titanic submersible invitation.
2. Did he marry them by Muslim law, traditional African custom or British civil law? That is important in drawing up a will.
3. He has many children obviously.
4. He has sons, which is a factor in most African countries because traditionally the first son is the heir. Regina Daniels the actress and wife #6 has two sons she always posts on social media.
5. Ned Nwoko is a barrister, so he knows laws of inheritance, especially 'death duties' tax on property the deceased left behind.
6. Ned Nwoko’s wealth has tentacles in most jurisdictions. He worked in the U.K. as a barrister for a long time and his wives don’t come from one country.
7. Ned Nwoko straggles between Nigerian customs, Muslim privilege and British family law. Is there one law that overrides all inheritance laws?
His family is so glad he wasn’t in that Titanic submersible, they are not thinking about who inherits what. I guess they’re saying all’s well, that ends well.
