 announced their separation in November. They have three kids.

It must be confusing for kids to be told that daddy and mummy will not be living together anymore. “We will always love you,” is the usual script, but some kids don’t believe it. They don’t understand why parents cannot stay married, for their sake. Divorce is indiscriminate. It happens to you and I. We know about rich people because they live for the camera and share their videos online. They also make break-up announcements online, asking us to respect their privacy.

Here are some reported separations.

Canada

Justin Trudeau is Canada’s Prime Minister. On 2 August 2023, he and his wife Gregoire announced they are legally separated. They have 3 kids.

United States

1. Nia Long, actress in movies like Soul Food and Best Man separated from Ime Udoka, who used to be basketball Head Coach for Boston Celtics. They were girlfriend and boyfriend for 13 years. They have one son.

2. Erik Spoelstra “Spo”, basketball Head Coach for Miami Heat and his wife Nikki, announced their separation on 29 November 2023. They have 3 kids.

3. Tracey Edmonds, film and television producer and Deion Sanders, Colorado Buffaloes football Head Coach announced their separation on 3 December 2023, after 12 years together. Or, is it eleven?

Nigeria

Yul Edochie, famous Nigerian actor separated from his wife May Edochie. They have four kids. This is after Yul Edochie married a second wife Judy an actress, without telling his first wife. It is not clear if there is a legal separation or not, because African culture allows polygamy, but traditionally, the first wife must be told.

We are watching it in the prelude to the Canadian election on the 19 th of October, 2015.   Americans have also started their political bullying for the looming presidential election next year. Comfort Food As Regret Food

Chicken curry. Comfort food is good for the soul, which usually bleeds in winter from icy roads, bad drivers that want to annihilate pedestrians, frozen fingers and toes that take a sabbatical.   What happened to my toes?   I thought I was wearing special socks for boots? Being a passenger is very stressful.   You must listen to the owner of the car, nod and grumble yes to everything he says because you don’t want to piss him off. Two things can happen if you disagree with the driver: he can lose concentration and you all end up in a mash-up accident or stop the car and ask you to get out.   That is the driver’s prerogative.   You must listen to me if you are a passenger in my car.   Let’s flip the script for a minute and sympathise with the driver if she has a passenger who is more intelligent than Albert Einstein. He talks non-stop.   It is all about himself, how right he is, how good he is, how stupid his boss is. Einstein is also a driving instructor.   “Careful.   Look at that guy.   Is he crazy or something? ” says Einstein.
