Women's Month Imminent Danger

The book 1984 by George Orwell is fiction about a totalitarian state that controls citizens’ lives from dawn till dusk. We are living some of that ‘fiction’ in 2023.

Women should be concerned. Somewhere in the future, governments will force them to have children, not because they love the cute little darlings, but because they grow up to be soldiers in Iraq, Ukraine, Afghanistan and China.

It is no breaking news that the birth rate continues to go down in G7 countries: United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and U.S. Some sixty years ago, women used to have the minimum of five kids, especially in countries like Italy and Ireland, where the Roman Catholic Church had a grip on poor people. Quebec, a province in Canada used to be mainly Catholic and women had many kids, because of the bible.

State control of the womb is possible. There are examples. The U.S. Supreme Court buried Roe vs Wade. States in the south are constantly adding clauses to criminalize abortion. China is another example. The government decided it had too many people, so it made a one child policy. The population shrunk. That’s why China allows women to have three kids now.

State control of the womb is more immediate in Europe, Canada and U.S. because of the market. If women don’t have kids, these countries won’t have future consumers. Capitalism will hemorrhage and Ministers of Defence will struggle to find men to go to war to prevent that.

The sinking birth rate is not women’s fault. All governments must take the blame. Women’s issues are economic and national issues, but they’ve always been relegated to Ministers of Gender Affairs.

Women saw their mothers’ and grandmothers’ lot and said it will not happen to us. They won’t live in poverty in their old age or after divorce.
