Online Cooking Butter Overload

Pan grill sirloin steak in little butter/margarine for 3 mins. Flip it over for another 3 mins. Take it out. Add onions, 2mato and apples in the pan. Cook in low heat for 6m.

Online videos promise you a nice juicy steak and it will be juicy if pan grilled in two tablespoons of olive oil, and two sticks of butter.

Ask yourself if you want to eat that self induced fat or the blood in the steak. You know steaks are a good source of Vitamin B12. That’s why we tell waiters we want them medium rare, so that we can taste the blood. We’re like other animals, we love blood.

The steak will still be juicy if you omit either butter or olive oil. I use olive oil for general cooking but grill steaks in low fat margarine. You prefer butter? No problem but surely not two sticks. The double fat content we see in cooking videos is fine for a once off Canada Day or Fourth of July BBQ, but it is poison if consumed weekly the whole year. Your heart will start hissing like a snake.

Grilling in both butter and oil is a result of over sight. We forget that meat, chicken and fish come with natural oil. Duck has more fat. That’s why in China they hang ducks, to let it drip. In other parts of the world, they place meat, chicken and fish on the fire, without coating them with butter or oil.

Feel free to adjust online recipes to suit your heart, without sacrificing ‘juicy.’
