Will Georgia Repeal Voter Suppression Law?

Georgia is the first state that embraced Donald Trump’s claim that he won, but election fraud by the Democratic Party robbed him of his victory. He even accused voting machines of swindling him.

Based on that lie, Republicans that are in the majority in both the House and State Senate passed the first voter suppression law. Now here we are in 2023. It turns out Trump and his posse of lawyers were the ones actively and illegally trying to reverse Georgia’s 2020 presidential election results. That’s why Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis indicted them for racketeering under the RICO Act.

Proposed Trial Date March 4, 2024

This month October, is almost gone therefore we can safely say the trial is five months away. We don’t know the outcome at this juncture but, if Donald Trump is found guilty, will the State of Georgia repeal its voter suppression law that was birthed by that lie? Is this possible legally? These might be rhetorical questions because what Trump did has no precedent. It's is a new chapter in U.S. history.

If Trump is found guilty, will the 18 states that followed Georgia and passed voter suppression laws based on his lie, repeal them? They include Florida, Texas, Arkansas, Iowa, Montana, North Carolina, Utah, Wyoming and many more.
