Trump and TV Court Room Dramas

Trump, doing his own self-destruct laundry.

Prosecutor: Mr. Trump, who is your favorite role model?

Donald Trump: Me

Television court room dramas seem to be another role model for Trump, judging from how he is behaving in Judge Arthur Engoron’s court in Manhattan and online. Some people imbibed court room dramas from parents, who didn’t miss an episode and the addiction is still active. This can lead to the delusion they know the law, which seems to be the case with Donald Trump.

I’m not a writer for these shows, but I assume it is all fiction, because of the word ‘drama.’ Therefore, it is hard to understand how an ordinary person, can dictate to a Manhattan Superior Court Judge, named Arthur Engoron. We cannot delve into Trump’s disdain for anything American because that was established before 6 January 2021. This disdain extends to the legal system, but surely not to the extent of claiming to know more than practising judges.

He must be a fan of TV court room dramas, but what is baffling is that they have attorneys, who speak on behalf of their clients. Trump is also flanked by his lawyers at that table, but they are nuked, because their client storms out, when his demand is not met. This is based on his belief that he knows the law, therefore he expects certain outcomes.

Tons of books have been written about the influence of television, not only in America but throughout the world, because these dramas are sold cheaply to other countries. But I don’t remember a single book where someone was so addicted to court room dramas, he became an attorney or prosecutor without attending law school and serving articles in a law firm.

Trump is all that, and Judge Arthur Engoron must remember that if he doesn’t want Trump to call him worse names, and he has a satchel full of them. Whatever happens Judge Engoron, don’t put him in jail. That will make him a hero. Let him self-destruct, because he likes taking off his clothes in public.
