Trump Lawyers' Invoices

Taking someone to court is expensive because of lawyers’ fees. Even Donald Trump, the 45th U.S. President is feeling the pinch.

That is surprising because he has no regard for the legal system. That is why he sends lawyers to question the integrity of prosecutors, special counsel and other professionals mandated to try that disregard. His lawyers know that such stunts  are a waste of time, but they don’t care. They are getting paid. Do they have an hourly rate? I think so. I read somewhere they are called ‘billable hours.’

Do you need a receipt?

Cashiers know poor people because they always say, yes. We want to know if they charged us $3 for the five cans of baked beans that are on special, and not the normal  $1.50 each. I think Trump is like us. He has handlers that scrutinize legal bills. What is on a lawyer’s invoice?

1. Legal experience

2. Degrees from law schools

3. Research/Consultancy fees

4. Letters typed by legal secretaries

5. Phone calls about the case made by legal secretaries

6. Photo-copying evidence and other necessary documents

7. Cellphone calls about the case

8. Text messages about the case

9. Mileage driving from the law firm to court

10. Airport parking

11. Air travel to Mar-a-Lago Florida, New York and Georgia

12. Breakfast, lunch and dinner in these cities

Did I miss anything? Just kidding. I’ve always wondered about  items on lawyers’ bills.
