Ne-Yo Gabrielle Union Parenting Styles
Mountains don’t meet people do, is a Zulu proverb, that means people can meet again after a long time, like these two artists:
Ne-Yo is an American musician famous for his soul-searching songs like Miss Independent. He also loves hats and suave clothes.
Gabrielle Union is an American actress famous for projects like Daddy’s Little Girls, a Tyler Perry film. She plays the love interest in Ne-Yo’s music video, Miss Independent.
NE-YO AND PARENTING
They meet again this week, not face-to-face, but in my mind because they have different views on what is known as trans gender kids. On 6 August, Ne Yo was a guest on the Vlad TV podcast where he said he grew up in a era where “man was a man and a woman was a woman.” He also said he would not allow a child to make a life changing decision that would be detrimental to his life. He didn’t say castration, but that is what the LGB … alphabet believes. If a little boy wants to be a girl, he has the right to ‘gender affirming’ surgery, which is cutting off the mistake: his thing.
GABRIELLE UNION AND PARENTING
She has a trans gender step daughter Zaya Wade, because she is married to Dwyane Wade, the NBA star. Let’s recap.
Zaya’s original name: Zion
Zaya’s original gender: boy
Zion's mother: Siohvaughn Funches Wade, Wade’s first wife
Zion's father: Dwyane Wade
The child born as Zion came out in 2020 and said he is a girl. Gabrielle Union and her husband totally supported his decision. He decided to make everything legal by changing his gender and his name so that he would be known as Zaya.
Siovaughn Funches Wade, the woman who carried him in her womb for nine months went to court in November 2022 to stop that move. She said Zion should wait until he was 18 to take such a decision. On 24 February, the Los Angeles County Superior Court threw out her objection and ruled that Zion can change his gender and name.
Conclusion: Two parents, Ne-Yo and Gabrielle Union who once worked together in a music video, have completely different views on boys that want to be girls: transgender kids.
