Rich Men Have Lawyers On Standby
Wealthy people have lawyers on standby in case …… In case what? In case Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis indicts them for attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election outcome, in the State of Georgia.
She did that on August 14, indicting Donald Trump and 18 others for racketeering under the RICO Act. All Trump’s co-defendants showed up in Georgia with their lawyers, posed for the camera for posterity and paid the bond, except one. Harrison Floyd, one of the co-defendants clocked in but with no lawyer and no bond, so he spent five days in Fulton County prison.
Floyd was the director of Black Voices for Trump, a very unique collective. It’s unique because there are many African Americans (sorry, black Americans) that vote for the Republican Party. It’s democracy. Just recently, Tim Scott, a black man, was in the race for the 2024 nomination. I don’t know why Harrison Floyd and his collective decided on Black Voices for Trump.
The five days in prison for a black man who believes in Trump was an embarrassment obviously, so Republicans passed around the plate and Harrison Floyd got a lawyer and a bond was set up.
Why do wealthy people have lawyers on stand-by?
1. In case they lose an election, then try to doctor results.
2. In case they hide taxes that belong to the government.
3. In case a business deal turns sour.
4. In case they commission a ‘hit’, translate that into murder.
5. In case the wife accuses them of physical and mental abuse.
