Fruit Salad Appetizer or Dessert
Fruit salad is a day-long meal: breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner. You can also make a smoothie by dropping it in the blender, add plain yogurt and press the button. I don’t like that because I want my tongue to make an acquaintance with oranges, mango, apples, papaya and whatever fruit I have at home. Mama used to make it ‘multiply’ by opening a can of yellow peaches, chop them and use the syrup as a base, when she didn’t have oranges.
Starving Guests
Your culinary skill is world famous, but only enjoyed by a tight circle of friends. Fall is here but you might invite them for a, WE VOTED Sunday lunch or dinner. Food is almost ready, but you can tell when guests are famished. Pull two into the kitchen. Show them a bowl and some fruit and tell them to peel and chop, chop, chop. Can your friends peel anything, potatoes, oranges or pineapple? Chaaayi!
They must serve the fruit salad in small bowls, while you stir-fry a medley of veggies to go with the whole salmon you grilled. Remove the head then slice it.
