Phone Battery Dead
Her phone went blank after I snapped two pics.
Fall is here with its kaleidoscope of colour but the lime, orange and red leaves don’t stay too long on trees. Before you know it, they form a carpet on the ground. That’s why I was up and about yesterday taking pictures for the blog photo library.
“Excuse me. Could you please take us a picture?
I talked to the little darling in the stroller while the three women situated themselves near a tree that still had lovely leaves. He looked like he had been sleeping. What do you expect? He doesn’t pay taxes. Anyway, I snapped two pics and the phone went dead. I gave it back to her and one of her friends produced hers. I laughed and said she didn’t charge it before she left home.
“I was listening to music on the bus.”
I guess we are so addicted to our phones, we forget that they are ‘human’ too. It’s not funny. They are human because they need a break to sit down, drink water, have half a banana or apple or just ‘chill’ as kids put it. I’m very careful about the battery because of past experience, where the phone died on me while I was shooting rare footage. Photographers’ work is based on planning and luck. My phone battery better be full, when luck materializes. That’s why I’m amazed when I see a bus passenger watching a movie. What is happening to the battery?
