Republican Party's Piggy Bank
Guess what? Life-long Grand Old Party (GOP) members probably have two words to describe their political home: before and after.
BEFORE TRUMP
I’m interested in the collection of member fees/donations and how they are allocated to various housekeeping functions that keep the Party standing. I would surmise that presidential campaigns are part of those functions.
AFTER
The GOP’s 2024 presidential nominee gets his campaign funds from multiple sources: selling his sneakers, digital cards, ‘I took a bullet for Democracy’ merchandise, bibles etc. Why would he do that? Did the Party refuse to fund his campaign? Also, I’m interested in book keeping, as in keeping receipts.
1. Do donations land in Trump’s personal account, or the Party’s official purse?
2. Do Trump’s lawyers bill him in his personal capacity or do they bill the Party?
3. Are miscellaneous bills like courier delivery, buying his bibles and flights to his various court cases, settled by the Party or himself?
The man intends to be the president therefore, these are pertinent questions about the Donald Trump vanity store, his legal fees and money that belongs to the Party. The taxman would also like to know.
