U.S. Early Voting Parties

We were born alone and vote alone, but we seldom congratulate the self. Even twins. Some have already voted in the 2022 U.S. Midterm Election using the early voting option, but they did it in separate voting booths. Sorry! No joint voting booths. It will be undemocratic.

We seldom pat ourselves on the back. That’s why they came up with those I VOTED stickers. You can paste it on your sleeve with pride, but as the proverb goes, the more the merrier. Friends and family can organize early voting parties, cook-outs or pot-luck dinners.

Early voting should be celebrated because 8 November, the official voting date is unpredictable. Trump’s attempt to nullify the 2020 presidential election results by claiming that his election was stolen, led to the 2021 voter suppression laws in most southern states.

These laws cover all aspects of voting, including voting day. Therefore, it might be one of the reasons why some Americans decided to use the early voting window.

Republicans, who made this legislation are relying on the fact that the public doesn’t read all pages of new legislation. They rely on headline news. That might prevent some people from voting come 8 November, Republicans hope.

Early voting parties will share reasons why they voted early, not who they voted for. That’s a no-go area.
