Qatar British Hypocrisy

Protests about how Qatar treated migrant workers that built infrastructure required for the 2022 FIFA soccer tournament, smacks of hypocrisy, if they come from U.K. citizens.

That country is solid soccer. It’s what they do. British kings colonized half of the world. That’s why the game is found in former British colonies. Despite that, the U.K. does not like foreigners.

That is why on 23 June 2016, it voted to leave the European Union (EU), in the referendum also known as Brexit. One of the reasons for leaving was immigration. The EU agreement allows freedom of goods and people. Example. British citizens could live and work in Belgium with no visa requirements. Belgians could also do the same in U.K.

This resulted in migrant workers from non-EU countries like Poland, Romania, Lithuania going to England. Migrants from north Africa got wind of the free movement loophole and travelled to Europe. From there, they crossed the Channel into England.

Qatar 2022 Hypocrisy

English fans that are in Qatar with the intention of carrying the flag for migrant workers must come out clean. It is just an excuse. They don’t care about migrant workers. That’s why they flew huge British flags in 2016 and voted to exit the EU, to keep migrant workers out. They claimed foreigners will take their jobs and drain the National Health Service (NHS).

Therefore, they have no moral authority to speak for migrant workers in Qatar when they do not want them at home, in England.
