Speaking Zulu in Movies

Black Panther Wakanda Forever has a scene where the Queen (Angela Bassett) speaks clicks, which are common in Zulu and Xhosa. In fact, Xhosa has more, much more clicks. She did a very good job because you can hear the click, which is also in my name: Nonqaba.

Zulu is one of the many languages spoken by sons and daughters of the soil, down south in the continent of Africa. As a Zulu student, clicks should be the finishing line. Start with easy words like thatha, which means take, khala (cry) or vuma (accept).

Xova	Mix, as in mix flour and other baking ingredients, also means people who want to cause disunity
Ixoxo	Frog
Qubula	Lift up, usually something heavy
Gxuma	Jump, as in kids jumping rope
Xebula	Peel
