Wheel Chair Ramps Increase Value

Re-engineering the outside of your home for a wheelchair ramp, adds value to the property. Are you having problems with your legs? Is your aged father moving in with you?

Those are inevitable questions from neighbours and friends. Just ignore them and get estimates from builders that specialize in outdoor renovations. Visitors that push double-storey strollers, will visit more often. The ramp will also come in handy when hardware and furniture stores deliver boxes of floor tiles, chairs or sofas.

The value part kicks in when you are ready to offload the property. You don’t need estate agents to tell you the value of your home. Thanks to technology, that information is easily available. But, and it’s a capital B, the value of your home is in the beauty of the beholder: potential buyers.

That wheel chair ramp can be a deciding factor. They need it. An older parent needs it. A young person with a disability needs it. A loved one injured in sports needs it. Disability can happen to anyone. It’s not exclusive to older people.

Comfort Food As Regret Food

Chicken curry. Comfort food is good for the soul, which usually bleeds in winter from icy roads, bad drivers that want to annihilate pedestrians, frozen fingers and toes that take a sabbatical.   What happened to my toes?   I thought I was wearing special socks for boots? Being a passenger is very stressful.   You must listen to the owner of the car, nod and grumble yes to everything he says because you don’t want to piss him off. Two things can happen if you disagree with the driver: he can lose concentration and you all end up in a mash-up accident or stop the car and ask you to get out.   That is the driver’s prerogative.   You must listen to me if you are a passenger in my car.   Let’s flip the script for a minute and sympathise with the driver if she has a passenger who is more intelligent than Albert Einstein. He talks non-stop.   It is all about himself, how right he is, how good he is, how stupid his boss is.
