Speaker Johnson Endorses Trump's Banana Republic

May 14, 2024 another kill democracy date. Michael Johnson, House Speaker came
 to rub salt in the wound of democracy already under attack. Not foreign attack, from within. 

Are my eyes playing tricks on me? That is what millions of Americans probably said today, when the U.S. Speaker of the House took to microphones to thrash-talk his country's judicial system. He led the posse that came to intimidate Michael Cohen, and even Judge Juan Merchan. The bad Trump dream is turning into a full blown nightmare. "What killed the elephant came from the stomach," a Yoruba proverb.

Below is an old blog 12 January 2024 about a banana republic.

What is a banana republic?

1. A country where one strong man rules with fear.

2. A country where he usurped power, saying he’s the ruler, when he’s not.

3. A country where the strong man ‘fixes’ election results to win.

4. A country where there is one constitution: his own.

5. A country where the said strong man does not recognize a sitting legitimately elected president.

6. A country where the judge and jury system is non-existent.

7. A country where judges and witnesses are attacked at home by strong man loyalty thugs.

8. A country where congressmen resign, to avoid being part of the terror, the lie, the shame.

9. A country where the ruling party doesn’t pass any laws, just continues the vendetta that the strong man was cheated.

10. A country where citizens are so ashamed they say: No. Actually, I’m Canadian.

Forget democracy.   It should be called political bullying. We are watching it in the prelude to the Canadian election on the 19 th of October, 2015.   Americans have also started their political bullying for the looming presidential election next year. Comfort Food As Regret Food

Chicken curry. Comfort food is good for the soul, which usually bleeds in winter from icy roads, bad drivers that want to annihilate pedestrians, frozen fingers and toes that take a sabbatical.   What happened to my toes?   I thought I was wearing special socks for boots? Ah!  We only live once. No Air Miles

I don’t have Air Miles.   I’m considering putting that on a T-Shirt because I cannot go to the drugstore (chemist) or coffee shop without the cashier asking me if I have air miles. We waited for about two minutes the other day, while this guy looked for his Air Miles card in his overweight wallet.   For what?   For a few points. I don’t have air miles because Mathematics is a foreign language.   I was never good in numbers. That is why I squashed the idea of being an investment banker very early in life.   I understand you can invest in cornfields before the soil is turned up or pork bellies even before a baby pig is born. That is how I view air miles, investing in tomorrow or the unknown.   I’m the dumb one.   Some people understand this air miles’ thing so well, I overheard one customer saying: I can even convert my points into cash.
