All The President's Men and Nikki Haley

We need some investigative journalism about what went down between Donald Trump and Nikki Haley. Why did she endorse him?  Photo:  Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman in All The President's Men, a movie about investigative journalism.

All The President’s Men is a non-fiction book by Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward, which was made into a movie, starring Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford. It is about investigative journalism that led to the fall from grace, of U.S. President Richard Nixon.

Nikki Haley’s endorsement of Donald Trump a few days ago will make a great film and guess who will write the screenplay? Yours truly. I kid you not. Why not tweak that 1976 title, All the President’s Men and add a woman?

All The President’s Man And A Woman

Seriously though, Nikki Haley was going to succumb at some point and endorse her former boss Donald Trump. Her autobiography is at the first draft stages, so I cannot wait for it. That is where she will tell-all about how she cornered Donald Trump into a deal and how she eventually double-crossed him. Oh! Yes! She will. You can bet on that. Donald Trump has finally met his match. Whatever deal they cut, he will try and get off that bus, before he delivers whatever the two agreed upon. Ask Michael Cohen and Rudy Guiliani.

Since we cannot wait for Nikki Haley’s book, I’m hoping American journalists will get to work and become modern day newshounds like Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward, the journalists that uncovered the Watergate scandal. The burning question is when did Nikki Haley and Donald Trump cut the deal? Who approached who? What is the deal? What was traded? Who was betrayed? What mechanisms are in place to prevent double-crossing?

In American journalism we trust. It will find the answers to, All The President’s Man And A Woman.
