Trump Found Guilty B4 The Election I Was Wrong

Ashleigh Merchant, lawyer for Trump's co-defendant Michael Roman tainted Nathan Wade's relationship with Fani Willis as sordid and mercenary, to try and kill the Rico case against Donald Trump a man found guilty of rape and paying hush money, to a former porn star.

I was wrong. I maintained in all my blogs that Donald Trump’s delaying tactics were bearing fruit. He would not go to his criminal trials before the November election. Today, 30 May 2024, the jury in the election interference case brought about by Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan District Attorney has a verdict. After hearing all the evidence in Judge Juan Merchan’s court, it unanimously found Trump guilty on all 34 felony counts.

I want to bury my head in the armpit in shame. Where am I going to hide all these blogs, where I said Donald Trump is untouchable because of friends in high places, especially the U.S. Supreme Court? One thing for sure, I won’t take them home as hand luggage, the same way Trump unilaterally demoted classified documents, and whisked them away to Mar-a-lago. I can imagine him saying:

“Oh! I think I’ll take these home. They’ll come in handy when I go back to the White House in 2025.”

I was wrong for saying the delay delay delay was going to work, but bear with me. I had reasons for that presumption.

1. On 4 March 2024, the U.S. Supreme Court decided that states could not disqualify candidates from the ballot because of an insurrection.  Only Congress can implement Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. I was flabbergasted because I agreed with the Colorado state Supreme Court for saying he can’t be on the ballot because of the insurrection he engineered on 6 January 2021. I was despondent from then onwards.

2. Then came the Fani Willis persecution called an ‘evidentiary hearing.’ It was another delaying tactic from Donald Trump, but what hurt me the most was criminalizing love. Nathan Wade is a special man because he is proof we cannot taint all black men with same brush and say they don’t love us. Ashleigh Merchant, the lawyer for Michael Roman, Trump’s co-defendant in the RICO case turned a beautiful relationship between two African American professionals into something sordid and mercenary. How do you know it was beautiful? Ashleigh Merchant herself. When she spoke to the ’genius’ kangaroo court called a Georgia Senate committee, she said Nathan Wade and Fani Willis went on a cruise. They occupied one cabin. Nathan Wade’s mother occupied another one. From where I come from, acceptance by the man’s or woman’s mother, makes that love beautiful.

It is in this context, that I thought all was lost, Trump’s delaying tactics were working. I was wrong. Today he was found guilty in a court of law, BEFORE the November election.
