No Pardon For Trump

Debates between President Joe Biden and Donald Trump, the man he defeated in 2020 will not change the resolution millions of Americans took after, 6 January 2021.

Based on that alone, Donald Trump will lose the November election because it will be Republican voters showing their revulsion, at his treasonable act. Joe Biden will remain in the White House but history might repeat itself. Which is? He might borrow a page from Gerald Ford’s script and pardon Trump. On September 8, 1974, President Ford gave Richard Nixon, the former president responsible for the Watergate scandal, a ‘full, free and absolute pardon’ for crimes he committed or may have committed against the United States.

Pardoning should be on the table because there are two pardons at play. With the Supreme Court in his corner, Donald Trump is delaying his criminal trials because he believes he will win the election and pardon himself. The other pardon is in Biden’s hands when he is inaugurated in 2025. What is frightening is what is in the air. Some Americans believe that Donald Trump will win the 2024 presidential election. Based on what exactly?

Richard Nixon vs Donald Trump’s crimes

It is like comparing a candle to a forest fire. Richard Nixon’s men broke into the Watergate building before a presidential election to try and steal Democratic Party secrets. Burglars were arrested and Richard Nixon said his hands were clean. Using an anonymous source, two reporters wrote All The President’s Men, which led to his resignation.

With Donald Trump, breaking into the Capital on 6 January happened in broad daylight. His tweets tell the story. Richard Nixon wanted to win an election by breaking into the Watergate Building. Donald Trump wanted to bring down the pillars of the Capitol while a new government was being certified.

President Ford invoked Article 2, Section 2 of the Constitution to pardon Richard Nixon for crimes outlined in that book. Trump is arrogant about his and flaunts his hold on the Supreme Court. He thinks he will win the election and pardon himself. He won’t. Will Joe Biden pardon him? Let’s say he wanted to, he doesn’t have anything to work with.

Comfort Food As Regret Food

Chicken curry. No Air Miles

I don’t have Air Miles.   I’m considering putting that on a T-Shirt because I cannot go to the drugstore (chemist) or coffee shop without the cashier asking me if I have air miles. We waited for about two minutes the other day, while this guy looked for his Air Miles card in his overweight wallet.   For what?   For a few points. I don’t have air miles because Mathematics is a foreign language.   I was never good in numbers. That is why I squashed the idea of being an investment banker very early in life.   I understand you can invest in cornfields before the soil is turned up or pork bellies even before a baby pig is born. That is how I view air miles, investing in tomorrow or the unknown.   I’m the dumb one.   Some people understand this air miles’ thing so well, I overheard one customer saying: I can even convert my points into cash.
