Meghan's Destiny Avoid Coronation Blame

Destiny Etiko, is currently one of the stars illuminating the Nigerian film industry, the second biggest after Bollywood. Igbo, her mother tongue and all its cultural attachments is the spring board for her success. Her English movies are equally mesmerizing.

But what is destiny? Meghan Markle should not attend King Charles’ Coronation because it is her destiny. She is not meant to be there. Her mother-in-law, Diana Spencer also had a destiny. She was not meant to be queen. Camilla Parker Bowles, who had an affair with her husband, Prince Charles, will be queen on 6 May because that is her destiny.

Diana Spencer had a destiny, to be a womb for hire, as one writer once put it. She did not disappoint the revered royal family. She produced boys that could be king one day,  William and Harry. That was her destiny.

The same goes for Meghan Markle. Her destiny was to bring joy to Prince Harry, who came from a broken home, caused by the royal tradition of the Prince of Wales having affairs with other men's wives. The royal family didn’t like it. It never thought its destiny could involve a black woman as a daughter in law.

Meghan Markle has no problem with her destiny. It gave her a man who adores her and they are blessed with extra toppings: two kids. That’s why she will stay home with them, and watch the hats and military medals show on television.
