Ime Udoka Justice Denied
Ime Udoka is guilty. Why? He’s a man. That’s it. It’s like pre-approved mortgage or car loan. He’s a man, so he’s the bad guy.
There can be no justice for Ime Udoka. Although he was with a woman in the room or rooms, she is protected because she is the ‘weaker sex.’ We think she will just faint and will need bottles of smelling salts to revive her, should Boston Celtics publish her name.
What happened in private with the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door, is now public, and only the man is the villain. Ime Udoka is now our daily bread although only two people ate the bread. His life is destroyed because of society’s double standards, and women in particular.
We don’t know what happened when two people were eating the bread. Now it has gone stale, and only the man is guilty. What is happening to Ime Udoka makes a mockery of gender equality, and gives the impression that women are the purer sex, no blemishes at all.
Just like men, we have agendas in relationships. Ideally, both parties must be on the same page. When that doesn’t happen, some women decide on crash and burn. You need to be a fly when we talk about men. Your ears might come out withered. They also slam dunk us in locker rooms and the car wash but, let’s press the pause button on that, for now.
As women, we target men who are at the top of their game or career, like Ime Udoka. We never accuse high school boyfriends who are janitors or security guards at the mall. When things go sour, we advise each other on the crash and burn, even 15 years after the incident, as long as they have achieved fame and fortune.
But you’re wrong. That’s a broad and unfounded statement. Is it? The Ime Udoka case is about a man and a woman. Who is woman? She knew that it is the shortest cut to demolishing him. He is guilty by virtue of being a man.
She is happy where she is. Mission accomplished and her identity is protected. As women, we want equality, but pull the weaker sex card when our agendas don't go according to plan.
