Ukraine Internet Makes War Stale
There is no need for war because we are on the internet. Russians have Ukrainian friends and followers on Face, Instagram, YouTube, Tik Tok, everywhere.
Elina Svitolina is a tennis player from Ukraine. Anna Kournikova is a tennis player from Russia. Coco Gauff is American. Leila Fernandez is Canadian. These women have the same followers because of a common interest, tennis. Unfortunately, they come from countries ruled by old men who do not want to admit that war is a stale commodity.
Biden is waging a war against Russia because he has NATO in his pocket. This unnecessary shedding the blood of Ukrainians, Russians, Americans and Canadians is a good example, of why men and women over 40 years should not be in government. I cannot believe I’m saying this because I was taught to respect age. It was equated with wisdom. Young people are perceived as wild, adventurous, brimming with youthful exuberance. They are Ja Morant, the basketball star who lives for the moment.
Young people take selfies on top of buildings and moving trains with doors open. They want to jump from a waterfall, but do not know the rocks they’ll find down there. There’s a proverb in Nigerian languages: what an elder sees sitting down, a young person cannot see it even sitting on the highest iroko (palm tree).
They’ll always be war if politicians over 40 years old continue to be in government. What do you mean? Rewind the tape where U.S. Senate Committee members questioned Tik Tok CEO, Shou Zi Chew. They didn’t want answers. They told him to answer YES or NO. How does the safety of all of us in this world be in the hands of men over 40 , who do not have logic, because their minds are controlled by special interests, like the war industry that manufactures drones, tanks and airplanes, and careers of men who shout: KILL?
Tik Tok and YouTube bring people together despite ideological, racial and cultural differences. Old men who rule NATO countries want to fight the impossible, retain control over a world that is a melting pot.
