Electric Vehicles And The Environment

Netherlands is one of the countries in Europe that subsidize people
 who buy cars that do not drink oil, Americans call gas.

Climate change is fake, said former U.S. President Donald Trump. You can take a horse to the river but you cannot make it drink. Electric vehicles (EV) might help us prevent further damage to the environment, but are we willing? Daughters and sons have graduated and you want to give them their first car. Will you buy them electric cars?

Covid-19 forced us to admit that climate change is real. We have one body of air we share like the sun and moon, but it is filthy. That’s why we were masks. What can we do to rectify the situation, if it’s possible at all? Governments from the most polluting countries signed the l’accord de Paris, known as The Paris Agreement. President Obama signed, but President Trump canceled it.

In Europe, countries have various subsidies to encourage less damage to the frail environment. For example, Sweden and Germany have money incentives for citizens buying plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles. Figures indicate that sales are going up.

Some people admitted that climate change is real long before Covid-19, so they tried various ways of helping to stop further damage to the environment.

They use those blue bins religiously and teach the family how to sort bottles from cans and pulling the grocery cart instead of getting plastic bags @ 5 cents each. I sometimes see shoppers putting groceries in their backpacks.

Electric Vehicles

Besides home recycling, ordinary people don’t know how they can stop further deterioration of the one planet we have. What can I do, I’m just one person?

You can, if you are a parent or relative that buys new cars for personal use or for teenage kids. We’ve seen climate change protests by the youth which means that they’re are aware that they are the reluctant beneficiaries of an environment that looks like honeycombs, but not that sweet. 

Therefore, they’ll understand why buying them plug-in hybrids and electric cars, is a small attempt to repair the air they breathe.

Comfort Food As Regret Food

Chicken curry. Comfort food is good for the soul, which usually bleeds in winter from icy roads, bad drivers that want to annihilate pedestrians, frozen fingers and toes that take a sabbatical.   What happened to my toes?   I thought I was wearing special socks for boots? Einstein Passengers

Being a passenger is very stressful.   You must listen to the owner of the car, nod and grumble yes to everything he says because you don’t want to piss him off. Two things can happen if you disagree with the driver: he can lose concentration and you all end up in a mash-up accident or stop the car and ask you to get out.   That is the driver’s prerogative.   You must listen to me if you are a passenger in my car.   Let’s flip the script for a minute and sympathise with the driver if she has a passenger who is more intelligent than Albert Einstein. He talks non-stop.   It is all about himself, how right he is, how good he is, how stupid his boss is. Einstein is also a driving instructor.   “Careful.   Look at that guy.   Is he crazy or something? ” says Einstein.
