Canada Pierre Poilievre and Trump Tactics
Pierre Poilievre, Canada’s Conservative Party leader wants to borrow Donald Trump’s playbook. My way or no way. If his party loses, then the election was rigged.
The truth of the matter is that he doesn’t have any meaningful contribution to make so he’s chasing shadows like China. Our daily news bread is the Conservative Party accusing China of interfering in Canadian federal elections. Pierre Poilievre demanded a public inquiry into the matter. Prime Minister Trudeau obliged and hired David Johnson to investigate. He did the job and tabled a report recommending no inquiry.
Today the following parties tried to get David Johnson fired.
- NDP
- Conservative Party
- Bloc Quebecois
Why? Because he didn’t give them the result they wanted. They want that public inquiry into imagined Chinese interference. This is dangerous because it smacks of Donald Trump in America. He wanted a certain result. He didn’t get it and orchestrated the 6 January 2021 storming of the Capitol. He sent hoodlums to try and stop Biden from being anointed president.
What is Chinese foreign interference? Opposition parties must wear track suits and comfortable old sneakers and stand at major intersections in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver, Halifax and all Canadian cities and ask passers-by this question.
What is the difference between the commission of inquiry about truckers who crippled Canada during what they called Freedom Convoy and David Johnson's recommendation that we should not have a public inquiry into foreign interference? The first answer will be, the truckers’ blockade was a national emergency that affected all Canadians. The second answer will be, foreign what?
