Make-up In The Morning

Things are clearer in the morning because you wake up in a room that is bathed in sunlight, unless you live in a basement apartment in Toronto.  A helper taps you on the shoulder for a good morning.

Hell no! Who you?

Make-up might be the reason for the shock, because women look different in the a.m. They were dazzling in the p.m. in restaurant candlelight or nightclub lights. They were ‘made up’ and wore clothes that mesmerized certain joints. The morning ‘un-makes’ them. The make-up was over the top if the man cannot recognize his helper in the morning. Excessive make-up defeats its purpose, which is to enhance, not destroy what nature already gave women. The most effective make-up is understated. It prompts the question, is she or is she not wearing it? Eyes for example. They are the most effective bait, because they transmit many messages. Women know this. That’s why they buy false eyelashes. They don’t realize it is counter productive. Men are shocked when they wake up to women with limping eyelashes. What happened to the other one? Probably lost in translation or the scrimmage.

ANCIENT WOMEN WORE MAKE-UP

In 2024, some men and mothers-in-law make the impossible demand that women must not wear make-up. Somehow, they forget that make-up is not new. Women in ancient societies in Africa, Asia and the Pacific wore make-up but it was for a specific purpose. In very hot countries, women and men covered their faces with a certain type of mud.  Married women were identified by special clothes and make-up. There was make-up that celebrated special events like a good harvest, weddings, girls reaching womanhood, offerings to the gods etc. Unfortunately, European professors took pictures and sent them home, as proof of barbarism, but drag queens in Europe and America use make-up to completely transform themselves.

MAKE-UP ON DATE NIGHTS

Make-up cannot be the only bait. It should complement the personality of the woman. It is a knock, knock, who is there? It should make him want to know more about the human being before him, her mind, her work, her view of the world and her identified future, and not stare at her neck which is black, while the face is white.
