Fear for Baby Girls

Anxiety. All cultures are anxious about baby girls. Parents fear for them and the danger is men, which is ironic because they are brought up to be ‘good girls’ until they get married.

We were told at an early age to sit like a woman. When parents are not around, older sisters and cousins pull down girls’ dresses if they sit with their legs apart. Little girls are little girls, so they jump around, fall any how or sit any how. In rural areas, 12 or 14 year-old girls cover the lower waist but no top or shirt. They are safe because since the beginning of time, there is an understanding that they are kids, not women. That changed with European invasion because white men stared at ‘naked women.’ They came from a different sexual mind set, so we had to be colonized. We had to be ‘decent.’ That is how girls started wearing dresses, thus reviving the starving British cotton mills.

Whether ‘barbaric’ or not, colonization still recognized male and female. It is a fact of life we don’t think about. Can you imagine what is happening in Canada and U.S. right now, all this time wasted debating that a dog can be a cat if it ‘feels’ like it?

All it needs is to draw some whiskers using make-up. We are the joke of the world. No. It’s not time wasted, because it is to save little boys from castration, because of a few men who do sex for sport and will one day publish books such as: My summer as a woman.
