No Schooling No Social Skills

Certain famous actors and actresses do not send their kids to school because they are wealthy. Education prepares kids for the labour market but why bother? Mum and dad have money so they will never lack anything. But skipping school, deprives kids of certain life-giving steps, obscene bank balances cannot buy.

Life is like a flight of steps, although it is not perfect and equal like steps in double-story mansions, a block of flats or office buildings.

Bringing up kids is helping them handle handrails until they can walk up and down the stairs unassisted. There is some resistance because kids don’t want help, but a tumble here and there teaches them that life has sharp edges like steps.

In so-called ‘primitive’ societies, kids learn about life in circumstances that give them food. There’s no supermarket. Therefore, kids learn to smell rain at an early age, so that they can hurry home with the cattle.

They know the habit of the ocean so they know when fishing is dangerous. Kids that live in the rain forest know which birds and rabbits to hunt and which berries are poisonous. In snow countries, kids learn how to make snow boots from watching grandmothers.

In Canada and the U.S. kids are required to go to school by law, so that they can grow up and be active in buying and selling goods for profit, but the most important part is interacting with other human beasts. Yes, human beasts, that form society.

It is teaching them how to share, beginning with a classroom, something that is difficult for kids with pink and blue rooms at home, the size of classrooms.

When actors and actresses decide that their kids don’t need school, they make them jump a step, which can lead to a broken leg, mind or suicide.
