Group of Seven Owes Africa Rent
We have a pandemic. That was March 2020. The world should lock down, no work, which means no wages. Panic. How are we going to pay rent? Worry about food came second.
You pay rent to the landlord, to billionaires that own vacant factories, office buildings and strip malls, or to farmers who lease their land. Hair stylists rent a chair in a hair salon to braid their clients’ hair or cut their toenails.
Cornwall G7 claims to be ‘donating’ vaccines to poor countries, make that black countries. They are not poor. They just never received rent from the Queen of the British Empire. She is a tenant because Canada or South Africa never belonged to her.
Two systems
1. Aboriginal people all over the world had a communal system of land. Go to the forest, cut what you need to build a house, canoe or make hunting and cooking implements. The next person does the same. Nature was stable, no climate change.
2. The Queen, France, Italy, Spain, Germany conquered aboriginal people with guns and the bible for pieces of silver, then created title deeds to what they called the ‘free land’.
They could not believe that aboriginal people could be so ‘dumb’. Land is wealth. It has gold, silver and platinum underneath that is sold at the stock market.
The Queen, G7 countries and the whole ‘developed’ world owes Africa money because they are tenants from Europe that stole the land. They made Africans and other landowners slaves that were carted to gold mines like cattle and sent to two World Wars to wash soldiers’ drawers.
Aboriginal people’s culture was declared primitive and they were forced to boarding and residential schools to be ‘civilized’.
Paying rent is a European concept, but the Queen and company did not apply it to Africa and the rest of the British Empire. They were never owners of the land, so they owe ‘poor countries’ due rent.
Vaccines are not donation. It is due rent.
