Lie Detecting The Bible

Swearing with your hand on the Bible is supposed to be the apex of truth.  In some countries the legal system still believes in it. That’s why witnesses are required to either swear on the Bible or Quran.

“Do you swear to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth?” There are many films and television dramas with this line.

The truth is not absolute. It’s like the English proverb, one man’s meat is another man’s poison. The Bible is poison. Settlers used it to poison indigenous people in colonies invaded by The Queen of England and other European countries.

The Catholic Church and Anglican Church brought the Bible to Africa, North America and Pacific Islands. Men in cassocks said this book is about the truth of how someone called Jesus was so admirable, he died to save us from our sins.

Those sins included owning land the Queen and churches wanted. Bible toting priests therefore said ancestor worship and paying homage to animals that gave Africans and indigenous people food, shelter and clothes was wrong.

What is heinous about these churches is that they know that there’s no truth in the Bible . They preached that humans are made in God’s image, but the Catholic Church set up residential schools in Canada to strip humanity from the Assiniboine, Cree, Dakota, Dene, Ojibwe, Lakota and other First Nations.

Residential schools were the epitome of the Bible’s lies. The Catholic Church murdered 215 indigenous kids who were at the Kamloops Indian Residential School some years ago. They were buried secretly in a mass grave because they were not human beings.

Let us pray to Jesus, our lord and saviour, as Christians say.

Comfort Food As Regret Food

Chicken curry. Comfort food is good for the soul, which usually bleeds in winter from icy roads, bad drivers that want to annihilate pedestrians, frozen fingers and toes that take a sabbatical.   What happened to my toes?   I thought I was wearing special socks for boots? Einstein Passengers

Being a passenger is very stressful.   You must listen to the owner of the car, nod and grumble yes to everything he says because you don’t want to piss him off. Two things can happen if you disagree with the driver: he can lose concentration and you all end up in a mash-up accident or stop the car and ask you to get out.   That is the driver’s prerogative.   You must listen to me if you are a passenger in my car.   Let’s flip the script for a minute and sympathise with the driver if she has a passenger who is more intelligent than Albert Einstein. He talks non-stop.   It is all about himself, how right he is, how good he is, how stupid his boss is. Einstein is also a driving instructor.   “Careful.   Look at that guy.   Is he crazy or something? ” says Einstein.
